Madhusudan Naidu narrates an instance which shows Swami's joy regarding the 'Children for Sai.'

Madhusudan Naidu takes us to a conversation between Swami and a few of us close followers. The central theme of the conversation is the Educate One Teach One (E1E1) programme that was being implemented with the collaboration of the alumni of Swami's institutions. Here again we see Swami granting others an opportunity to be part of His Mission. He is delighted by the fact that many of the alumni have actively come forward and offered their services. God rejoices in the good deeds of His children. It is through our deeds that we become the Children of God.

Swami got into His car, so did the three of us, namely, Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Sri C Sreenivas and myself, to go to the Premamrutham Auditorium, for the Alumni Meet 2017 of all the educational institutions.madhusudan naidu muddenahalli

The highlight of the event was the E1E1 - Each One Educate One programme which was now being formalised as a registered foundation.

Long ago, when Narasimha Murthy Sir had called me to find out as to what should be his reply to a devotee who asked, “Even if you build these campuses with our support, how are you going to maintain and sustain them?” I prayed to Swami and conveyed his message, “Every alumni should think that one more of his brother or sister is studying in the schools, and, therefore, must help with their education”, which was easier said than done.madhusudan naidu

After three years of considerable efforts in this direction, finally it was getting institutionalised. As Swami’s car winded down the Anandam road, Swami spoke in excited tones to Sreenivas Sir about this initiative of E1E1 saying, “Not that I can’t take care of educational expenses of all the students when I am building so many campuses at such cost, but it is an opportunity for the old students to set an example for the new ones.”
Sreenivas Sir was overwhelmed as he responded, “It is heartening to see alumni taking charge now.”at madhusudan naidu muddenahalli

And what Swami said resounded in the innermost recesses of my heart for the whole day, “Avvunu! mana pantalu ippude panduthunnaayee.” (Yes! Our crops are ready only now to harvest.)madhusudan naidu

At that moment I saw the pride and fulfilment of a farmer in Swami’s eyes, who so very painstakingly tilled the hard soil of our dry hearts, removed the weeds of selfishness, sowed the seeds of service, watered it with His Love and nurtured it under the sunshine of His grace. Now the golden crop was finally ready for Him to harvest.

Children of Sathya Sai had ripened into Children for Sathya Sai, finally!
